NEW HOPE, Pa. - It happens all the time. You search for an airfare and find a cheap plane ticket. Go to another website, come back, and that cheap fare has gone up!

The travel experts call that the vanishing airfare. Fox 29's Jenn Frederick calls it a rip off after it happened to her. "It's the dreaded you fare has risen in a matter of seconds. What is that, bait and switch?" said Jennifer Doncsecz, president of VIP Vacations.

Doncsecz said to make sure you search travel website engines by the accurate number of people you are planning to buy for – not just one ticket – the first time you search. "A key is, Sheinelle, stop using Orbitz," Doncsecz said. "You could also clear you (web browser's) cache. That takes away the cookies that are stored in there."

Doncsecz said she likes Kayak.com because it searches other sites. If you don't have your identification or passport information ready to be keyed in when you search, you also run the risk of being timed out of your ticket purchase. So, make sure you have those items ready to go.

FOX Good Day Philadelphia - July 16, 2010 - With the airlines strapped for cash most are charging for just about everything extra these days.

Jennifer Doncsecz is the President of VIP Vacations. She says airlines are now charging for the little things like headphones, food, pillows, and seat assignments. So it can be difficult to calculate exactly how much your flight is going to cost.

Doncsecz recommends checking out the website www.truprice.net to figure out the true price of your ticket. Click on the "beta site" button. "You can select all the airlines you are looking at." And then you enter the fare that you've found. The website will help you figure out how many additional fees are not included in the ticket price. Doncsecz explained it may be a better deal to pay a little more for a ticket that includes more extras.

Doncsecz also talked about some "cool" vacation spots you may want to consider for a summer vacation. Her suggestions include: the Finger Lakes, an Alaskan cruise, San Francisco, Quebec, and Vail, Colorado.

Fox Good Day Philadelphia - How to Figure Out Airline Fees - July 16, 2010

FOX Good Day Philadelphia - July 9, 2010 - Whether it's for your luggage or for other extras, the airlines are charging more fees for your travel. Now, get ready to pay more for international travel, and this has to do with passports.

Jennifer Doncsecz, president of VIP Vacations, joined "Good Day" Friday morning to explain these extra fees for passports, the difference between them and passport cards, and how soon before your trip should you apply.

If you plan on traveling, get your passport before July 13. it depends on what you're going to get, but count on an average increase of about $35. Even minors' passports (under age 16) are going to now cost $105, and adults' passports will be $135.

It's getting pretty pricey for a family four to travel, but the government has been implementing a tiny electronic chip in the passports to increase security.

Some of the airlines, like United, are concerned that these extra fees will deter travelers from buying international tickets but won't drop their fees. Doncsecz said airlines actually have more flights that are filled now.

"Industry experts are saying that people are going to travel this year. They've done away with the 'stay-cation.' They want to travel," Doncsecz said. " If you need to get a passport, do it before the 13th. There's a lot of places where you can make appointments to go and do it, you can save some money and, remember, kids' passports are only valid for five years. That's very important."

FOX Good Day Philadelphia - April 29, 2010 - New rules go into effect Thursday that will penalize airlines if passengers are forced to sit too long on the tarmac.

Under the so-called tarmac rule, airlines will face a hefty penalty if passengers sit for more than three-hours.

Doncsecz told Mike and Sheinelle the new regulations will just mean more cancellations. "Airlines are not going to risk getting fined." Doncsecz explained airlines really need to focus on updating the antiquated air traffic system, staggering flights, and "they don't have a lot of planes as backup if there is a mechanical problem."

Doncsecz expects more flights to be cancelled, instead of delayed, because of weather and "it's going to have a domino effect, your flight is not going to come in because it was cancelled." She says you are not going to be stuck on the tarmac anymore, but you will be sitting in the airport.

The New York Times Travel Show - February 18, 2010 - Jennifer Doncsecz, President of VIP Vacations, will be a featured speaker at The New York Time Travel Show being held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, Feb. 26-28.

This massive consumer travel show, which has been attended by more than 20,000 in recent years, also has a dedicated day just for travel agents and travel suppliers on Friday, Feb. 26.

Doncsecz will be featured in two sessions on the 26th. From 3:30 to 5 p.m., the forum will offer a session called “Tools to Increase Your Sales” where Jennifer will present “Social Media Solutions” and then will also make a second presentation during the “Targeted Marketing Solutions” session.

Consumers are continuing to get hammered by airline fees. Doncsecz says you should book early, and fly during off peak times. The best time to book a ticket is after 10:00pm on Tuesdays. And you can often get the best deals if you bundle your airline ticket, hotel, and rental car.

FOX Good Day Philadelphia - November 12, 2009 - Jennifer Doncsecz on Fox's Good Day Philly.  The Sandals/Beaches travel group has a new Yacht cursing along the East Coast, a perfect location for a wedding.  Jennifer Doncsecz, President of VIP Vacations Inc. was on board the "Lady Sandals" with Fox 29's Shawnette Wilson.

Sandals/Beaches has teamed up with Martha Stewart and is offering new destination wedding packages. Doncsecz said there are six-designs and themes to choose from.  The cost of an average wedding is between $20,000-$25,000. Doncsecz said the average cost for destination weddings is closer to $5,000.  Sandals has also opened a new resort in the Bahamas, called "Sandals Emerald Bay." Even when kids promo’s are out there to travel for free or at a reduced rate, not having another adult going often times raises the child’s rates to another adult price.  Most cruise lines, Disney and all inclusives require 2 adults in their pricing of accommodations.
