Thank you for taking the time to check out our destination wedding website. We hope that you can be a part of our special day, as it will be a day to cherish with ever lasting memories. Our wedding will be held at the RIU Palace Aruba. Hope to see you there!
A little insight to as why we chose Aruba for our destination wedding. I had planned a surprise trip to Aruba for Peter's 40th birthday. I was lucky to have a few of Peter's family members to come and join in the celebration, which he had no idea that they were coming. The day after we arrived in Aruba, his brother and sister-in-law flew in and then his mother and step father arrived the following day after them. He was so surprised.
We had planed to go on a horseback ride on the beach and Peter told me that plans had changed and we were going to go on a sunset catamaran cruise with the family. I was pretty bummed as I was really looking forward to this excursion. Well, Peter surprised me and proposed to me on that sunset catamaran cruise. There were about 75 people aboard and he picked up the microphone and I looked at my future mother-in-law and said is he going to start singing. Peter thanked me for his surprise trip and thanked his family for coming as well. He then said, "I have one more thing to say" and he got on one knee and proposed to me, of course I said yes. Everyone on the cruise started clapping, cheering and taking pictures. A lot of people that were on the cruise knew Peter was going to propose to me but I had no clue and was so shocked. This is why Aruba is so very special to us. |
